[Opens Nov. 4 in select theaters and available on Apple TV+.] Lila Neugebauer's captivating, moving, realistic, poignant, well-acted, down-to-earth, 92-minute psychological film in which a stubborn, anxiety-prone, PTSD-afflicted military engineer (Jennifer Lawrence), whose deaf brother (Will Pullen) is in prison for dealing drugs, returns home after suffering a traumatic brain injury (TBI) during an IED explosion in Afghanistan, works with a helpful caretaker (Jayne Houdyshell) to get back to normal physically and mentally and with a skeptical physician (Stephen McKinley Henderson) who must approve her redeployment request, goes back home to New Orleans to live with her mother (Linda Emond) with whom she has a strained relationship, and eventually makes friends with a kindhearted car mechanic (Brian Tyree Henry) who suffers from his own traumas and demons.
