Quiet Place, A: Part II

[Opens May 28 in theaters.] John Krasinski's captivating, intense, suspenseful, well-crafted, superbly acted, 98-minute thriller in which townsfolk in upstate New York react to an invasion of menacing, blind, deadly alien creatures who hunt by sound and follows a headstrong widow (Emily Blunt) trying to protect her injured son (Noah Jupe) after he stepped in a bear trap, an infant son, and an equally headstrong, brave, deaf, cochlear-implant-wearing teenage daughter (Millicent Simmonds) who is joined by a traumatized family friend (Collins Murphy), who has lost his wife and children, to try to get help on an island with other survivors (Djimon Hounsou, et al.) in order to emit from their radio station a piercing sound over the airwaves to kill the alien creatures.
