Black and Blue After a streetwise, ex-veteran soldier, rookie cop (Naomie Harris) kindly offers to work a double shift so that her partner (Reid Scott) can go on a highly anticipated date night with his wife in New Orleans and then ends up witnessing and recording on her body cam crooked, on-the-take cops (Frank Grillo, James Moses, and Beau Knapp) murdering an unarmed drug dealer in this suspenseful, thrilling, action-packed, gritty, violent, 108-minute film inspired by J. L. Thorne's 2004 memoir, she goes on the run with an African-American market owner (Tyrese Gibson) she knew as a child when she becomes the target not only of corrupt cops but a revenge-fueled drug dealer (Mike Colter) and his henchmen.
