After a group of bickering, rebellious, AK-47-toting teenage guerillas (Moisés Arias, Sofia Buenaventura, Julian Giraldo, Karen Quintero, Laura Castrillón, Deiby Rueda, Esneider Castro, and Paul Cubides) in the mountains of Colombia come under attack at their hideout while watching over a milk cow and their American doctor hostage (Julianne Nicholson) and are forced to flee into the dense jungle in Alejandro Landes' original, critically acclaimed, gritty, well-acted, disturbing, violent, love-it-or-hate-it, 102-minute film highlighted by striking cinematography, landscapes, and musical soundtrack and adapted from the Lord of the Flies classic, tensions escalate and fighting ensues among the commandos when the doctor escapes and truths are revealed.
