Current War, The: The Director's Cut

A disappointing, factually inspired, slow-moving, one-sided, disconnected, often historically inaccurate, star-studded (Tom Holland, Katherine Waterston, and Tuppence Middleton), 107-minute film that follows the fierce rivalry between fame-seeking Thomas Albert Edison (Benedict Cumberbatch) and inventor George Westinghouse (Michael Shannon) during the late 1800s as they invent conflicting current technology in an attempt to bring electricity to the world, and soon investor capitalist J.P. Morgan (David Macfadyen) and genius Serbian scientist Nikola Tesla (Nicholas Hoult) take sides in the AC/DC battle as they get involved in the heated competition.
