Judy

While her two young children (Bella Ramsey and Lewin Lloyd) stay with her ex-husband (Rufus Sewell) in California in this riveting, superbly acted, insightful, factually inspired, well-placed, star-studded (Michael Gambon, Finn Wittrock, and Jessica Buckley), 110-minute biographical film adapted from Peter Quilter's Broadway stage play End of the Rainbow and highlighted by gorgeous costumes, pill-popping, alcoholic, insomnia-plagued, 47-year-old legendary singer and actress Judy Garland (Renée Zellweger) goes to London in 1969 to headline at the Talk of the Town supper nightclub in a desperate attempt to get out of her deep financial hole and to buy a home in order to take care of her kids and reminisces about her abusive, unhappy life growing up a teenage actress (Darci Shaw) in Hollywood.
