Girl in the Spider's Web, The: A New Dragon Tattoo Story After a fired nuclear scientist (Stephen Merchant) hires a dragon-tattooed, martial-arts-savvy, super computer hacker (Claire Foy) in Stockholm to steal an NSA computer program that can access nuclear guidance codes globally and the Russians (Mikael Persbrandt, et al.) blow up her apartment and steal her valuable laptop in this engaging, action-packed, violent, convoluted, predictable, like-it-or-leave-it, 117-minute thriller based on David Lagercrantz's 2015 novel, she is helped by a Washington cyber security agent (Lakeith Stanfield), a Swedish journalist (Sverrir Gudnason), and a computer whiz friend (Cameron Britton) when she is caught in a web of "spiders" with duplicitous government officials and her abused, revenge-fueled sister (Sylvia Hoeks) while trying to retrieve the laptop and to save a young, autistic savant (Christopher Convery).
