Mile 22 Frenetic pacing dominates this convoluted, action-packed, violent, unpredictable, 95-minute thriller based on a story by Graham Roland and Lea Carpenter in which elite undercover paramilitary operatives (Mark Wahlberg Ronda Rousey, Lauren Cohan, and Sam Medina) lead by their Overwatch tactical command unit boss (John Malkovich) agree to escort to the airport a duplicitous, skilled, highly valued asset (Iko Uwais), who was granted asylum in the United States in exchange for the code that would unlock vital data from a disk, through a bullet-riddled, 22-mile gauntlet in a Southeast Asian city where the enemy appears from all directions.
