Crazy Rich Asians When a spirited, beautiful, Chinese-American economics professor (Constance Wu), who teaches at NYU and was raised by a single mother (Tan Kheng Hua), and her handsome businessman boyfriend (Henry Golding) head to Singapore from New York City to attend his friend's upcoming elaborate nuptials in this wacky, colorful, intermittently funny, unoriginal, 121-minute romantic comedy based on Kevin Kwan's novel and highlighted by striking panoramic city shots and stunning high fashion, she learns that his family (Lisa Lu, Gemma Chan, Ronny Chieng, Remy Hii, Nico Santos, Victoria Loke, et al.) is extremely wealthy, shallow, and judgmental and his snobbish, straitlaced, domineering, traditional mother (Michelle Yeoh) feels she is not good enough for her son.
