Dog Days Adorable dogs highlight this endearing, funny, well-paced, family-friendly, 112-minute comedy in which a group of goofy, lovable dogs in Los Angeles brings together various people, including an African-American widower (Ron Cephas Jones) who teams up with a 16-year-old pizza delivery driver (Finn Wolfhard) to find his pug, a divorced television reporter (Nina Dobrev) who allows herself to realize her feelings for her on-air host (Tone Bell) after his dog dies, a barista (Vanessa Hudgens) who falls for an egotistical veterinarian (Michael Cassidy) when a nerdy animal adoption center owner (Jon Bass) might be a better fit, a caring couple (Eva Longoria and Rob Corddry) takes in a stray dog as a pet for their adopted daughter (Elizabeth Phoenix Caro), and an immature musician (Adam Pally) who grows up a bit when he cares for the lovable mutt of his sister (Jessica St. Clair) and her husband (Thomas Lennon) who just had twins.
