Darkest Minds, The After a mysterious illness kills more than 98% of the children globally and the remaining kids who possess different levels of various supernatural powers are forced into armed detention centers by a fearful government in this fast-paced, action-packed, star-dotted (Bradley Whitford, Wallace Langham, Wade Williams, Gwendoline Christie, and Mark O'Brien), 105-minute, sci-fi thriller based on Alexandra Bracken's novel, a feisty, 16-year-old Africa-American girl (Amandla Stenberg), who can control minds, is helped by a doctor (Mandy Moore) to escape and then is befriended by three other powerful survivors (Harris Dickinson, Skylan Brooks, and Miya Cech) searching for a secret safe haven camp run by a duplicitous president's son (Patrick Gibson) where they believe they all can be safe.
