Ready Player One After the eccentric creator (Mark Rylance) of a virtual reality videogame called "The Oasis" dies and sets a highly prized contest in motion where the winner will inherit millions of dollars and control of the Oasis world in this creative, action-packed, entertaining, fast-paced, 3D, star-dotted (Simon Pegg. T. J. Miller, McKenna Grace, Letitia Wright, Clare Higgins, and Ralph Ineson), 140-minute, Steven Spielberg's futuristic sci-fi film filled with terrific special effects and whimsical dialogue, a savvy player (Tye Sheridan) and his alter ego avatar in Columbus, Ohio, in 2045 is joined by other players (Olivia Cooke, Lena Waithe, Win Morisaki, and Philip Zhao) to stop a greedy, power-hungry executive (Ben Mendelsohn) from winning the competition.
