Isle of Dogs After a Japanese mayor (voiceover by Kunichi Nomura) exiles all dogs to trash island when fears persist that snout fever may transfer to humans in this unusual, imaginative, creative, funny, star-dotted (voiceovers Scarlett Johansson, Courtney B. Vance, Greta Gerwig, F. Murray Abrahams, Tilda Swinton, and Fisher Stevens), 101-minute animated film, a young orphaned boy (voiceover by Koyu Rankin) steals an airplane and goes to the island where he is befriended by five dogs (voiceovers by Bryan Cranston, Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum, Edward Norton, and Rob Balaban) that help him find his protective dog Spots (voiceover by Liev Schreiber).
