Phantom Thread

Striking cinematography and gorgeous period costumes highlight this quirky, engaging, well-acted, 130-minute Paul Thomas Anderson film in which a regimented, controlling, famous British fashion designer (Daniel Day-Lewis), who works extremely close with his smothering sister (Lesley Manville), takes a beautiful, strong-willed, English waitress (Vicky Krieps) as his new muse in London during the 1950s and eventually lets himself love her.
