Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri After her rebellious teenage daughter (Kathryn Newton) is raped and brutally murdered in a small town in Missouri in this superbly acted, dark, poignant, star-studded (Peter Dinklage, Caleb Landry Jones, John Hawkes, Abbie Cornish, Brendan Sexton III, Kerry Condon, and Sandy Martin), 115-minute film with great character development, a grieving, guilt-ridden, frustrated, divorced gift shop clerk (Frances McDormand) rents three billboards outside of town in an attempt to get the terminally ill police chief (Woody Harrelson) and his lazy, racists cops (Sam Rockwell, Zeljko Ivanek, et al.) to take her case more seriously and to find her daughter's killer.
