Manchester by the Sea

After his fisherman brother (Kyle Chandler) dies of congestive heart failure in this Oscar-nominated, down-to-earth, heart-tugging, poignant, well-acted, overly long, star-studded (Matthew Broderick, Gretchen Mol, Tate Buckley Donovan, and C. J. Wilson), 135-minute film told in flashbacks, a shy and angry Boston handyman (Casey Affleck), who is divorced from his wife (Michelle Williams) when a tragedy occurs with their three children, reluctantly moves back to his hometown and ends up being the guardian for his popular 15-year-old nephew (Lucas Hedges).
