When a Jewish man (Jesse Eisenberg) leaves his bickering parents (Jeannie Berlin and Ken Stott) and aunt (Sari Lennick) and uncle (Stephen Kunken) in the Bronx to move to Hollywood in the 1930s to start a career and quickly becomes smitten with the beautiful secretary (Kristen Stewart) who works for his hotshot, cheating agent uncle (Steve Carell) in this bittersweet, engaging, funny, star-dotted (Parker Posey, Paul Schneider, and Anna Camp), 96-minute, Woody Allen romantic comedy, he becomes disillusioned and returns to New York to work for his gangster brother (Corey Stoll) at his nightclub and ends up marrying a gorgeous blonde (Blake Lively) on the rebound.
