Equals

Tension, emotions, and passion slowly build in this polarizing, thought-provoking, well-acted, star-studded (Guy Pearce, Jacki Weaver, and David Shelby), sci-fi, 102-minute, 2015 film based on Drake Doremus's story and reminiscent of Equilibrium and The Giver in which an attractive writer (Kristen Stewart) and a handsome graphic illustrator (Nicholas Hoult), who live in a boring, bland, sterile, emotionless, whitewashed, futuristic, seemingly utopian dystopian society, suddenly contract the Switched on Syndrome (SOS) disease that causes the infected to feel and often leads to suicide, and then they find themselves in a forbidden, dangerous, Romeo & Juliet relationship.
