BFG, The

When a precocious, 10-year-old English girl (Ruby Barnhill) is snatched from a London orphanage by a big, friendly, bullied, dream-catching, 24-foot giant (Mark Rylance) and finds herself the target of child-eating, hungry giants in a faraway land in this delightfully charming, engaging, touching, funny, family-friendly, star-dotted (Rebecca Hall, Rafe Spall, Matt Frewer, and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson), 3D, 115-minute Steven Spielberg remake of the 1989 fantasy film based on Roald Dahl's novel, she decides to help her new kindhearted, protective friend by hatching a plan to get rid of his hungry, even more giant nemeses (Bill Hader, Jemaine Clement, Chris Gibbs, et al.) by enlisting the help of tea-sipping Queen Victoria (Penelope Wilton) and her military.
