Genius A dialogue-heavy, well-acted, slow-paced, factually inspired, star-dotted (Nicole Kidman, Dominic West, and Guy Pearce), 104-minute film based on Scott Berg's biography Max Perkins: Editor of Genius in which New York City Scribner book editor Maxwell Perkins (Colin Firth), who lives with his wife (Laura Linney) and daughters, forms a friendship with Thomas Wolfe (Jude Law) in 1929 when he decides to take a chance on the unknown, prolific writer after he was rejected by numerous publishers.
