Love & Friendship Gorgeous landscapes and costumes highlight this delightfully funny, occasionally confusing, well-acted, star-dotted (Chloë Sevigny, Stephen Fry, Jemma Redgrave, James Fleet, and Emma Greenwell), 92-minute satirical romantic comedy adapted from Jane Austen's 1871 novella Lady Susan in which a beautiful, widowed British aristocrat (Kate Beckinsale) schemes to find a husband for herself and her reluctant teenage daughter (Morfydd Clark) in the 1790s, and they end up with a dimwitted, wealthy nobleman (Tom Bennett) and a handsome English gentleman (Xavier Samuel), respectively.
