Eddie the Eagle

An inspirational, entertaining, factually based, star-dotted (Christopher Walken and Tim McInnerny), 105-minute film in which enthusiastic, milk-swigging, 22-year-old Englishman Eddie ‘The Eagle' Edwards (Taron Egerton), who lives with his middle-class parents (Jo Hartley and Keith Allen) in Britain and was disabled as a youngster, heads to Germany to train as a ski jumper with the dream of going to the Olympics and with the reluctant guidance of a booze-drinking former Olympic U.S. ski jumping champion (Hugh Jackman) he is determined to meet the skeptical British Olympic Committee arbitrary qualifications in order to go to the Winter Games in Calgary, Canada, in 1988.
