Race

A heart-wrenching, inspirational, factually based, well-acted, star-studded (William Hurt, Jeremy Irons, Carice van Houten, Tony Curran, and Tim McInnerny), 125-minute film in which Ohio State University athlete James Cleveland "Jesse" Owens (Stephan James), who has a hairdresser wife (Shanice Banton) and young daughter, faces discrimination from all sides as he trains with track and field coach Larry Snyder (Jason Sudekis) to compete in the controversial 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, Germany, in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes and the broad jump.
