Hail, Caesar!

After disgruntled, Communist writers (Fisher Stevens, Max Baker, David Krumholtz, Patrick Fischler, Tom Musgrave, et al.) kidnap a star (George Clooney) in Hollywood in 1951 and demand $100,00 in ransom in this disappointing, unevenly paced, sporadically funny, wacky, star-studded (France McDormand, Tilda Swinton, Channing Tatum, Alison Pill, Jonah Hill, Dolph Lundgren, John Bluthal, Clancy Brown, Ming Zhao, and Alex Karpovsky), 100-minute Coen Brother satire, the religious Capitol Picture Studios executive (Josh Brolin) tries to find his whereabouts in order to finish the movie Hail, Caesar! The Tale of Christ while dealing with unhappy directors (Ralph Fiennes and Christopher Lambert) and temperamental stars (Scarlett Johansson, Alden Ehrenreich, et al.).
