Carol

In this touching, compelling, well-acted, start-studded (Sarah Paulson, Jake Lacy, and John Magaro), 118-minute film based on Patricia Highsmith's novel The Price of Salt, a beautiful, sophisticated, divorced, bisexual housewife (Cate Blanchett) in the 1950s finds herself caught between her young department store lover (Rooney Mara) she meets in Manhattan during the Christmas holidays and her controlling, jealous ex-husband (Kyle Chandler) who continually flirts with her and uses her unconventional sexuality and their daughter (Sadie Helm) as a pawn to gain sole custody.
