Hateful Eight, The

Blood and body parts fall like rain in Quentin Tarantino's wacky, extremely violent, long-winded, love-or-hate-it, star-studded (Channing Tatum, Zoë Bell, Lee Horsley, and James Parks), 187-minuute spaghetti western about eight unsavory people, including a gruff bounty hunter (Kurt Russell), a black-eyed murderer (Jennifer Jason Lee) on her way to the gallows, a Union Army major (Samuel L. Jackson) who is a bounty hunter with a bounty on his head and a personal letter from his friend President Abraham Lincoln in his pocket, a would-be Red Rock sheriff (Walt Goggins), a racist Confederate general (Bruce Dern), a cowboy (Michael Madsen) allegedly writing his autobiography, a mustached English hangman (Tim Roth), and a mysterious Mexican innkeeper (Demián Bichir Nájera), who are becoming increasingly distrustful of each other while holding up at an inn run by an African-American haberdasher (Dana Gourrier) during a fierce Wyoming blizzard in the 1860s.
