Youth A quirky, downbeat, slow-paced, well-acted, critically acclaimed, 118-minute film about eclectic guests vacationing at a posh, mountainous hotel/spa in the Swiss Alps, including a well-known, stubborn, retired classical conductor/composer (Michael Caine) from Venice who is giving two Queen Elizabeth emissaries (Alex Macqueen and Adam Jackson-Smith) the runaround and employs his unhappy daughter (Rachel Weisz) as his assistant whose husband (Ed Stoppard) is cheating on her with a pop singer (Paloma Faith); an aging director (Harvey Keitel) who is writing a new screenplay with five screenwriters (Alex Beckett, Chloe Pirrie, Nate Dern, Mark Gessnner, and Tom Lipinski) for a beloved actress (Jane Fonda) he has admired for more than fifty years; a disillusioned, unhappy actor (Paul Dano) known for his role as a robot; and a levitating Buddhist monk (Dorji Wangchuk).
