Love the Coopers A poignant, entertaining, funny, 100-minute comedy in which dysfunctional family members, including a contentious couple (Diane Keaton and John Goodman) who have lost their spark after 40 years, a cynical playwright (Olivia Wilde) who invites a no-nonsense soldier (Jake Lacy) she just met at the airport despite her affair with a married doctor (Jon Tenney), a jealous life coach (Marisa Tomei) who has just been arrested for shoplifting by a gay cop (Anthony Mackie), a retired teacher (Alan Arkin) who invites a waitress (Amanda Seyfried) who serves him daily at a local cafe, an unemployed photographer (Ed Helms) trying not to fight with his ex-wife (Alex Borstein), and a mentally challenged aunt (June Squibb) enjoying a night out from the nursing home, come together for an annual celebration on Christmas Eve in Pennsylvania.
