Desert Dancer

A gut-wrenching, heartbreaking, intense, well-acted, factually based, 98-minute film in which Iranian college student Afshin Ghaffarian (Reece Ritchie) with other artists (Freida Pinto, Marama Corlett, Tom Cullen, et al.) desperately try to fulfill their dreams and need for artistic expression by dancing behind closed doors in Tehran in 2009, and when his life is threatened by fanatical, oppressive men (Simon Kassianides, et al.), he is faced with an agonizing choice.
