Pride

Controversy ensues in this delightful, charming, inspirational, entertaining, factually based, 2-hour, 2014 film sprinkled with humor when enthusiastic homosexuals (Liz White, Faye Marsay, Ben Schnetzer, Joseph Gilgun, Dominic West, Andrew Scott, George MacKay, Joseph Gilgun, et al.) in England start a Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) group and head to South Wales in June 1984 to support the surprised, impassioned, and frustrated striking miners (Paddy Considine, Freddie Fox, et al.) and to raise money for the Welsh mining community members (Bill Nighy, Imelda Staunton, Monica Dolan, Menna Trussler, Nia Gwynne, et al.) and in turn, with mutual respect and support, hundreds of supportive miners turn out in droves for the Gay Pride march in June 1985 in London.
