Best of Me, The After the death of a mutual, kindhearted, widowed, childhood friend (Gerald McRaney) in Louisiana in this heartbreaking, predictable, romantic, star-dotted (Jon Tenney and Schuyler Fisk), 117-minute chick flick based on Nicholas Sparks' novel, a Texas oil rigger (James Marsden) and an unhappily married Baton Rouge housewife (Michelle Monaghan) return to their hometown and end up reconnecting and reminiscing about their lives as love-struck teenagers (Luke Bracey and Liana Liberto) and the tragedy that tore them apart.
