Good Lie, The

A touching, inspirational, heartbreaking, gut-wrenching, factually based, 110-minute film that follows the harrowing, 975-mile journey of a group of close-knit, orphaned children (Peterdeng Mongok, Thon Kueth, Deng Ajuet, Keji Jale, Okwar Jale, David Madingi, and Kon Akoue Auok) as they walk through war-torn Africa to a life-saving refugee camp in Kenya in 2001 and then continues their story thirteen years later as four of them travel to the U.S. where the sister (Kuoth Wiel) ends up in Boston and the three brothers (Arnold Oceng, Ger Duany, and Emmanuel Jal) in Kansas City, MO, where they are helped by a sharp-tongued employment counselor (Reese Witherspoon), her boss (Corey Stoll), and a Christian sponsor (Sarah Baker).
