Drop, The A gritty, dark, violent, well-acted, 106-minute film based on Dennis Lehane's short story Animal Rescue in which an unassuming bartender (Tom Hardy), who works for his reckless, irresponsible cousin (James Gandolfini) at a Brooklyn bar that is controlled by ruthless Chechen mobsters (Michael Aronov and Morgan Spector), ends up being interrogated by skeptical detectives (John Ortiz and Elizabeth Rodriguez) after the bar is robbed while at home he is trying to care for an adorable, battered pit bull puppy that he finds in the trash can of a waitress (Noomi Rapace) after her former, volatile, ex-con boyfriend (Matthias Schoenaerts) abused it.
