Edge of Tomorrow, The After a battlefield-virgin American major (Tom Cruise) is demoted to a private by a no-nonsense British general (Brendan Gleeson) when he does not obey orders and lands on the frontlines on an English beach fighting invading, menacing, spider-like aliens in this humor-dotted, action-packed, fast-paced, entertaining, star-studded (Bill Paxton, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Noah Taylor, and Tony Way), 3D, 113-minute, sci-fi thriller, he ends up repeatedly dying and reliving one day over and over again as he teams up with a dedicated, decorated, skilled solder (Emily Blunt) in an attempt to defeat the aliens.
