Noah

Director Darren Aronofsky takes poetic license in his controversial, dark, love-it-or-hate-it, ambitious, intriguing, star-dotted (Anthony Hopkins, Kevin Durand, and Marton Csokas), violent, 138-minute retelling of the Biblical Ark story highlighted by terrific special effects in which 500-year-old Noah (Russell Crowe) and his family (Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, Douglas Booth, Logan Lerman, and Leo Carroll) with the help of the gigantic, fallen angels known as the Watchers (voiceovers by Frank Langella, Nick Nolte, and Mark Margolis) build an enormous ark filled with two of every creature in preparation for God's end of the world by flood and then find themselves threatened by the power-hungry, evil warlord (Ray Winstone) and his followers.
