Labor Day

A charming, compelling, heartwarming, heartbreaking, well-acted, cameo-dotted (Clark Gregg, Tobey Maguire, J. K. Simmons, and James Van Der Beek), 111-minute film in which a mentally imbalanced, depressed, divorced New Hampshire mother (Kate Winslet) and her teenage son (Gattlin Griffith) reluctantly harbor an escaped convict (Josh Brolin) in 1987 over Labor Day weekend.
