Ender's Game Nifty special effects highlight this otherwise lackluster, repetitive, disappointing, sci-fi thriller based on Orson Scott Card's 1985 bestselling novel in which no-nonsense military officers (Harrison Ford, Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis, and Nonso Anozie) train a brilliant international military cadet (Asa Butterfield), who is separated from his family (Stevie Ray Dallimore, Andrea Powell, Abigail Breslin, and Jimmy ‘Jax' Pinchak,), to lead a teenage team of soldiers (Hailee Steinbfeld, Aramis Knight, Moises Arias, Suraj Partha, et al.) to fight a ferocious, menacing alien race and to prevent them from attacking Earth again.
