Carrie When a bullied, disturbed, shy, high school student (Chloë Grace Moretz), who lives with her psychotic, God-fearing, prayer-obsessed, dry cleaner employee mother (Julianne Moore) in Maine, skeptically accepts an invitation to the prom from the well-meaning boyfriend (Ansel Elgort) of a guilt-ridden classmate (Gabriella Wilde) trying to make amends for a thoughtless incident in this chilling, creepy, 100-minute remake of the critically acclaimed 1976 thriller based on Stephen King's classic novel, she unfortunately is victimized again by a cruel, clueless student (Portia Doubleday) and uses her telekinetic powers to retaliate.
