Runner Runner An intriguing, dark, unevenly paced, factually inspired, star-dotted (Bob Gunton, John Heard, and Gemma Arterton), 91-minute film in which a brilliant, but broke Princeton marketing student (Justin Timberlake) discovers that an online gambling website Midnight Black is cheating its customers and then foolishly gets involved with the shrewd, ruthless, violent, online gambling czar (Ben Affleck) when he goes to Costa Rica to confront him only to be threatened and warned by an FBI agent (Anthony Mackie) that his new boss is involved in racketeering, money laundering, and wire fraud.
