Family, The

Luc Besson's colorful, over-the-top characters highlight this humorous, entertaining, violent, well-paced, 110-minute dark comedy based on Tonino Benacquista's Malavita novel in which an FBI agent (Tommy Lee Jones) and two underlings (Jimmy Palumbo, et al.) try to protect a snitching Italian mafia boss (Robert DeNiro), his hotheaded wife (Michelle Pfeiffer), and their two survivalist teenage children (Dianna Agron and John L'Leo) when enter they witness protection program and move to a small French village in Normandy to stay under the radar from an imprisoned, vindictive godfather (Dominic Chianese) and his tenacious henchmen (Jon Freda, Vincent Pastore, et al.).
