Pacific Rim When monstrous, rock-like aliens attack Earth after rising from a rift in the Pacific Ocean that opens a portal to another dimension in this disappointing, unevenly paced, overly dark, star-studded (Idris Elba, Clifton Collins Jr., Ron Perlman, Max Martini, and Charlie Day), 3D, sci-fi film, mankind retaliates by building humongous robots that are controlled by a pair of pilots (Charlie Hunnan, Rink Kikuchi, Diego Klattenhoff, et al.) to fight the creatures.
