Man of Steel After his parents (Russell Crowe and Antje Traue) send him to Earth where he is raised by a compassionate farm couple (Kevin Costner and Diane Lane) due to the imminent destruction of his planet in this action-packed, fast-paced, suspenseful, 3D, entertaining, star-dotted (Amy Adams, Christopher Meloni, Laurence Fishburne, Richard Schiff, and Harry Lennix), 143-minute film filled with stunning special effects, an alien boy (Cooper Timberlane/Dylan Sprayberry) struggles to deal with bullies and his secret powers and then as a 33-year-old adult (Henry Cavill) must save Earth when a fanatical general (Michael Shannon) from Krypton and his followers (Ayelet Zurers, et al.) decide to make Earth their new home.
