Big Wedding, The

A lackluster, sporadically funny, star-studded (Robin Williams, Christine Ebersole, Katherine Heigl, Topher Grace, and David Rasche), 90-minute, romantic comedy based on the 2006 Swiss-French film Mon Frère se Marie in which tempers flare, lies run rampant, and confusion arises after a divorced sculptor (Robert DeNiro) and his ex-wife (Diane Keaton) agree, to the chagrin of his longtime girlfriend (Susan Sarandon), to pose as a happily married couple for the weekend of their adopted son's (Ben Barnes) wedding to his fiancée (Amanda Seyfried) to prevent his highly-religious, biological Colombian mother (Patricia Rae) from discovering that there is divorce in the family.
