To the Wonder

Spectacular cinematography, scenery, and imagery dominate this lyrical, unusual, somewhat pretentious, 112-minute, Terrence Malick film with minimal dialogue about the rollercoaster, tumultuous relationship that ensues when a gorgeous, divorced Ukrainian woman (Olga Kurylenko) and her 10-year-old daughter (Tatiana Chiline) move from Paris to Oklahoma to live with an environmental engineer (Ben Affleck) and after their love affair begins to wane, she returns to France and then back to the Midwest, where she meets a Catholic priest (Javier Bardem) who is struggling with his faith and finds her American lover has strayed with a rancher sweetheart (Rachel McAdams) from his younger days.
