Spirited Away A plodding pace and an often too-frightening plot for young children detract from this superbly animated and vibrant 2001 Hayao Miyazaki film about the adventures of a young Japanese girl (voiceover by Daveigh Chase) in a vacant, spirit-infested theme park as she tries to save her parents (voiceovers by Takashi Naitô and Yasuko Sawaguchi) who have been turned into swine.
