Le Havre

When an African boy (Blondin Miguel) from Gabon gets separated from his grandfather in the port city of Le Havre after being trapped with numerous others in a metal container bound for England and struggles to evade a tenacious, gruff, suspicious, and surprising police inspector (Jean-Pierre Darroussin) who seeks to deport him in this poignant, touching, critically acclaimed, 93-minute, 2011 film, a kindhearted, shoe-shining Frenchman (André Wilms), who lives with his sickly wife (Kati Outinen) and canine companion, befriends the stowaway and tries to help him find a way to his mother in London with the help of friends (Evelyne Didi, Elina Salo, Quoc Dung Nguyen, et al.).
