Underdeveloped characters dominate this disjointed, action-packed, fast-paced, violent, male-teen-geared, star-studded (Cicely Tyson, Giancario Esposito, John C. McGinley, and Jean Reno) film in which a Detroit detective (Tyler Perry), who has a pregnant wife (Carmen Ejogo) and two children (Yara and Sayeed Shahidi) and his longtime partner (Edward Burns) and a colleague (Rachel Nichols) hunt down a ruthless, narcissistic, sociopathic, highly skilled assassin (Matthew Fox) when he targets a wealthy German businessman (Werner Daehn) after killing four people (Stephanie Jacobsen, et al.).
