Butter When a legendary butter carving champion (Ty Burrell) is asked to not compete after winning the annual butter carving competition in Iowa for 15 consecutive years in this quirky, uneven, mildly funny, star-studded (Hugh Jackman, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Ashley Greene, and Phyllis Smith), 90-minute, 2011 satirical political comedy dotted with crude humor, his angry, ambitious, "Palinesque" wife (Jennifer Garner) enters the contest and competes alongside a novice feline-loving sculptor (Kristen Schaal), a bisexual stripping hooker (Olivia Wilde), and an artistic, wise, 11-year-old African-American student (Yara Shahidi) who has just been adopted by a supportive couple (Alicia Silverstone and Rod Corddry).
