Trouble with the Curve When a concerned Brave's manager (John Goodman) becomes worried about an aging, gruff, baseball scout (Clint Eastwood), who tries to keep to himself that he is suffering from macular degeneration, in this entertaining, family-friendly, inspirational, star-studded (Robert Patrick, Bob Gunton, Ed Lauter, Matthew Lillard, and Jack Gilpin) film dotted with witty dialogue, he encourages the scout's workaholic, baseball-savvy lawyer daughter (Amy Adams) to accompany her estranged father to North Carolina to watch a promising ballplayer (Joe Masingill) with other scouts (Justin Timberlake, et al.).
