Oranges and Sunshine While counseling patients in 1986 in this gut-wrenching, touching, factually based, 2010 film, which is adapted from Margaret Humphreys' book Empty Cradles, a dedicated British social worker (Emily Watson), who has a devoted husband (Richard Dillane) and two children in Nottingham, England, uncovers the shocking deportation of more than 130,000 children to Australia forty years earlier and works with the deported adults (Hugo Weaving, David Wenham, et al.) throughout Australia to find their families.
